Elishama was a scribe (secretary) at the court of King Jehoiakim in Judah. He played a role in the events surrounding the scroll of the prophet Jeremiah, as he kept the scroll in his chamber. He is mentioned in the book of Jeremiah as one of the officials of the court during the final period of the kingdom of Judah before the exile.
