On the day Moses finished setting up the tabernacle, he anointed it and consecrated it along with all its furnishings, and he anointed and consecrated the altar with all its utensils.
Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of their ancestral houses, came forward. These were the leaders of the tribes, the men who had presided over those who were counted.
They brought their offering before the LORD: six covered wagons and twelve oxen, a wagon from every two leaders and an ox from each one, and they presented them before the tabernacle.
"Accept these from them, and let them be used for the service of the tent of meeting. Give them to the Levites, to each man according to his service."
Four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.
But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because the service of the holy things was theirs; they were to carry them on their shoulders.
On the day the altar was anointed, the leaders brought the dedication gifts for it; they presented their offering before the altar.
And the LORD said to Moses, "Each day one leader shall present his offering for the dedication of the altar."
The one who brought his offering on the first day was Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.
On the second day Nethanel son of Zuar, the leader of Issachar, brought his offering.
The offering he brought was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
one male goat for a sin offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Nethanel son of Zuar.
On the third day it was Eliab son of Helon, the leader of the people of Zebulun.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Eliab son of Helon.
On the fourth day it was Elizur son of Shedeur, the leader of the people of Reuben.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Elizur son of Shedeur.
On the fifth day it was Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai, the leader of the people of Simeon.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
one male goat for a sin offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.
On the sixth day it was Eliasaph son of Deuel, the leader of the people of Gad.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two head of cattle, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Eliasaph son of Deuel.
On the seventh day it was Elishama son of Ammihud, the leader of the people of Ephraim.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
one male goat for a sin offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Elishama son of Ammihud.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.
On the ninth day it was Abidan son of Gideoni, the leader of the people of Benjamin.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Abidan son of Gideoni.
On the tenth day it was Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai, the leader of the people of Dan.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.
On the eleventh day it was Pagiel son of Ocran, the leader of the people of Asher.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Pagiel son of Ocran.
On the twelfth day it was Ahira son of Enan, the leader of the people of Naphtali.
His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Ahira son of Enan.
This was the dedication offering for the altar from the leaders of Israel on the day it was anointed: twelve silver plates, twelve silver basins, twelve gold dishes.
Each silver plate weighed a hundred and thirty shekels and each basin seventy; all the silver of these vessels came to two thousand four hundred shekels, by the sanctuary shekel.
The twelve gold dishes filled with incense weighed ten shekels each, by the sanctuary shekel; all the gold of the dishes came to a hundred and twenty shekels.
All the animals for the burnt offering were twelve bulls, twelve rams, and twelve male lambs a year old, with their grain offerings, and twelve male goats for the sin offering.
The total livestock for the fellowship offering was twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty male goats, and sixty male lambs a year old. This was the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed.
When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim; and He spoke to him.
