Hashubah was a descendant of King David through the lineage of Zerubbabel, mentioned in the genealogical records of Chronicles. He is one of the royal descendants registered after the exile in Babylon and represents the continuity of the Davidic line at a time when the kingdom had ceased to exist.

Descendants of Zerubbabel recorded

Through Zerubbabel, who led the Jews back from exile, the lineage continued. Hashubah was part of this important line that carried forward the messianic promise.
