Nahor was the son of Serug and the father of Terah, who in turn became the father of Abraham. He is one of the patriarchs in the lineage from Shem to Abraham and lived 148 years according to the biblical genealogy.

Nahor was born when his father Serug was 30 years old, continuing the lineage from Shem through the patriarchs.

22When Serug had lived thirty years, he became the father of Nahor.
וַיְחִ֥י שְׂר֖וּג שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־נָחֽוֹר׃ ‬
23After he became the father of Nahor, Serug lived two hundred years and had other sons and daughters.
וַיְחִ֣י שְׂר֗וּג אַחֲרֵ֛י הוֹלִיד֥וֹ אֶת־נָח֖וֹר מָאתַ֣יִם שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ ס ‬

Father of Terah

When Nahor was 29 years old, he had a son named Terah, who later became the father of Abraham, the father of faith.

24When Nahor had lived twenty-nine years, he became the father of Terah.
וַיְחִ֣י נָח֔וֹר תֵּ֥שַׁע וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־תָּֽרַח׃ ‬
25After he became the father of Terah, Nahor lived a hundred and nineteen years and had other sons and daughters.
וַיְחִ֣י נָח֗וֹר אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־תֶּ֔רַח תְּשַֽׁע־עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה וּמְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ ס ‬
