Ocran is a biblical figure known as the father of Pagiel, who was the leader and chief of the tribe of Asher during the wilderness wanderings. Pagiel appointed leader of the tribe of Asher

Ocran's son Pagiel was appointed leader of the tribe of Asher when the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai.

Camp arrangement of the tribe of Asher

Pagiel, son of Ocran, led the tribe of Asher in the camp arrangement during the wilderness wanderings, positioned on the north side of the tabernacle.

27The tribe of Asher shall camp next to them. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Ochran,
וְהַחֹנִ֥ים עָלָ֖יו מַטֵּ֣ה אָשֵׁ֑ר וְנָשִׂיא֙ לִבְנֵ֣י אָשֵׁ֔ר פַּגְעִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־עָכְרָֽן׃ ‬

Pagiel brings offerings at the altar

Pagiel, son of Ocran, brought his offerings on the eleventh day at the dedication of the altar in the tabernacle.

72On the eleventh day it was Pagiel son of Ocran, the leader of the people of Asher.
בְּיוֹם֙ עַשְׁתֵּ֣י עָשָׂ֣ר י֔וֹם נָשִׂ֖יא לִבְנֵ֣י אָשֵׁ֑ר פַּגְעִיאֵ֖ל בָּ‪[c]‬ן־עָכְרָֽן׃ ‬
73His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver basin of seventy shekels, by the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering;
קָרְבָּנ֞וֹ קַֽעֲרַת־כֶּ֣סֶף אַחַ֗ת שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים וּמֵאָה֮ מִשְׁקָלָהּ֒ מִזְרָ֤ק אֶחָד֙ כֶּ֔סֶף שִׁבְעִ֥ים שֶׁ֖קֶל בְּשֶׁ֣קֶל הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ שְׁנֵיהֶ֣ם ׀ מְלֵאִ֗ים סֹ֛לֶת בְּלוּלָ֥ה בַשֶּׁ֖מֶן לְמִנְחָֽה׃ ‬
74one gold dish of ten shekels, filled with incense;
כַּ֥ף אַחַ֛ת עֲשָׂרָ֥ה זָהָ֖ב מְלֵאָ֥ה קְטֹֽרֶת׃ ‬
75one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering;
פַּ֣ר אֶחָ֞ד בֶּן־בָּקָ֗ר אַ֧יִל אֶחָ֛ד כֶּֽבֶשׂ־אֶחָ֥ד בֶּן־שְׁנָת֖וֹ לְעֹלָֽה׃ ‬
76one male goat for a sin offering;
שְׂעִיר־עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֖ד לְחַטָּֽאת׃ ‬
77and for the fellowship offering, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Pagiel son of Ocran.
וּלְזֶ֣בַח הַשְּׁלָמִים֮ בָּקָ֣ר שְׁנַיִם֒ אֵילִ֤ם חֲמִשָּׁה֙ עַתֻּדִ֣ים חֲמִשָּׁ֔ה כְּבָשִׂ֥ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֖ה חֲמִשָּׁ֑ה זֶ֛ה קָרְבַּ֥ן פַּגְעִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־עָכְרָֽן׃ פ ‬

Leader of Asher's army contingent

Pagiel, son of Ocran, led the army contingent of the tribe of Asher when the Israelites broke camp from the wilderness of Sinai.

26Pagiel son of Ochran was over the company of the tribe of Asher,
וְעַל־צְבָ֔א מַטֵּ֖ה בְּנֵ֣י אָשֵׁ֑ר פַּגְעִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־עָכְרָֽן׃ ‬
