18 And if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge it to me. kreik εἰ δέ τι ἠδίκησέν σε ἢ ὀφείλει, τοῦτο ἐμοὶ ⸀ἐλλόγα·

10 appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I became while in chains. kreik παρακαλῶ σε περὶ τοῦ ἐμοῦ τέκνου, ὃν ἐγέννησα ἐν τοῖς ⸀δεσμοῖς Ὀνήσιμον,
Paul refers to Onesimus as his child, whom he has begotten in prison, and developed a close spiritual relationship with him.

11 Once he was useless to you, but now he is useful both to you and to me.*

14 But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your kindness would not be forced but voluntary. kreik χωρὶς δὲ τῆς σῆς γνώμης οὐδὲν ἠθέλησα ποιῆσαι, ἵνα μὴ ὡς κατὰ ἀνάγκην τὸ ἀγαθόν σου ᾖ ἀλλὰ κατὰ ἑκούσιον·

Onesimus traveled with Tychicus to deliver letters to the church in Colossae and to Philemon personally.
7 Tychicus will tell you all about my situation. He is a beloved brother, a faithful servant and fellow slave in the Lord. kreik Τὰ κατʼ ἐμὲ πάντα γνωρίσει ὑμῖν Τυχικὸς ὁ ἀγαπητὸς ἀδελφὸς καὶ πιστὸς διάκονος καὶ σύνδουλος ἐν κυρίῳ,
8 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts. kreik ὃν ἔπεμψα πρὸς ὑμᾶς εἰς αὐτὸ τοῦτο ἵνα ⸀γνῶτε τὰ περὶ ⸀ἡμῶν καὶ παρακαλέσῃ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν,
9 With him comes Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here. kreik σὺν Ὀνησίμῳ τῷ πιστῷ καὶ ἀγαπητῷ ἀδελφῷ, ὅς ἐστιν ἐξ ὑμῶν· πάντα ὑμῖν γνωρίσουσιν τὰ ὧδε.
