Ahoah

Ahoah belonged to the earliest generation of the tribe of Benjamin as a son of Bela, Benjamin's firstborn. His name is preserved in the genealogy in 1 Chronicles, where the descendants of Benjamin are documented with regard to tribal affiliation and inheritance lines. Although there are no individual stories about Ahoah in the biblical text, most evidence points to him being the origin of the patronymic term 'Ahohite' – a surname later associated with prominent warriors among King David's men. Through his lineage, Ahoah represents an important link between Benjamin's earliest tribal history and the military tradition that characterized this tribe throughout Israel's history.
