Tabrimmon was the son of Hezion and father of Ben-Hadad I, king of Aram (Syria) with its capital in Damascus. He is mentioned only once in the Bible, in connection with King Asa's attempt to form an alliance with Ben-Hadad against Baasha, king of Israel. His significance lies mainly in his role as a link in the Aramean royal line of Damascus.
18So Asa took all the silver and gold left in the treasuries of the house of the LORD, along with the treasuries of the royal palace, and handed it over to his officials. King Asa sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, king of Aram, who ruled in Damascus, with this message:
King Asa of Judah sent silver and gold to Tabrimmon's son Ben-Hadad to break his covenant with Baasha, king of Israel, and instead form an alliance with Judah.
18So Asa took all the silver and gold left in the treasuries of the house of the LORD, along with the treasuries of the royal palace, and handed it over to his officials. King Asa sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, king of Aram, who ruled in Damascus, with this message:
19"Let there be a treaty between you and me, as there was between my father and your father. See, I am sending you a gift of silver and gold. Go and break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will withdraw from me."
20Ben-Hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his forces against the cities of Israel. He struck down Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah, and all Kinneroth, along with all the land of Naphtali.
As a result of the alliance with Asa, Tabrimmon's son Ben-Hadad sent his commanders against the cities of Israel and captured Ijon, Dan, Abel-Beth-Maacah, and all Kinneret with the land of Naphtali.
20Ben-Hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his forces against the cities of Israel. He struck down Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah, and all Kinneroth, along with all the land of Naphtali.
The same event where Asa seeks help from Ben-Hadad, son of Tabrimmon, is also described in 2 Chronicles, where Asa is rebuked by the seer Hanani for trusting in the king of Aram instead of the Lord.

7At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, "Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped your hand.
