Temple Gatekeeper After the Exile

Hatita was one of the gatekeepers (doorkeepers) in the temple after the Israelites returned from the Babylonian exile. His descendants are mentioned among those who returned with Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. The gatekeepers played an important role in protecting and guarding the sanctuary.
