Hul was a son of Aram and grandson of Shem, Noah's son. He is mentioned in the Bible's genealogies as one of the ancestors of the peoples who descended from Shem after the flood. He is regarded as the founder of one of the Aramaic peoples.

The Blessed Lineage of Shem

Hul belongs to the lineage of Shem, which was blessed by Noah. Through this line, the Semitic peoples and eventually Abraham's descendants would come.
