The regulations for the Passover: who may participate
The Lord gives Moses and Aaron the regulations for the Passover: No foreigner or uncircumcised person may eat of the lamb, but a slave who is bought and circumcised may participate. Resident aliens and hired workers shall not eat of it. The lamb must be eaten in one house; no bone shall be broken, and the whole assembly of Israel shall celebrate the Passover. When a foreigner lives among you and wishes to celebrate the Passover, all males must first be circumcised. One law applies to both the native-born and the foreigner.
Exodus 12,43-49
43The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "This is the statute of the Passover: no foreigner may eat of it.
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאַהֲרֹ֔ן זֹ֖את חֻקַּ֣ת הַפָּ֑סַח כָּל־בֶּן־נֵכָ֖ר לֹא־יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ׃
44Any man's slave bought with money may eat of it once you have circumcised him.
וְכָל־עֶ֥בֶד אִ֖ישׁ מִקְנַת־כָּ֑סֶף וּמַלְתָּ֣ה אֹת֔וֹ אָ֖ז יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ׃
45No temporary resident or hired worker may eat of it.
תּוֹשָׁ֥ב וְשָׂכִ֖יר לֹא־יֹ֥אכַל־בּֽוֹ׃
46It must be eaten in a single house; you shall not carry any of the meat outside, and you shall not break any of its bones.
בְּבַ֤יִת אֶחָד֙ יֵאָכֵ֔ל לֹא־תוֹצִ֧יא מִן־הַבַּ֛יִת מִן־הַבָּשָׂ֖ר ח֑וּצָה וְעֶ֖צֶם לֹ֥א תִשְׁבְּרוּ־בֽוֹ׃
47The whole congregation of Israel shall keep it.
כָּל־עֲדַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יַעֲשׂ֥וּ אֹתֽוֹ׃
48If a foreigner living among you wants to celebrate the LORD's Passover, all the males of his household must be circumcised; then he may take part like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person may eat of it.
וְכִֽי־יָג֨וּר אִתְּךָ֜ גֵּ֗ר וְעָ֣שָׂה פֶסַח֮ לַיהוָה֒ הִמּ֧וֹל ל֣וֹ כָל־זָכָ֗ר וְאָז֙ יִקְרַ֣ב לַעֲשֹׂת֔וֹ וְהָיָ֖ה כְּאֶזְרַ֣ח הָאָ֑רֶץ וְכָל־עָרֵ֖ל לֹֽא־יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ׃
49The same law shall apply to the native and to the foreigner living among you."
תּוֹרָ֣ה אַחַ֔ת יִהְיֶ֖ה לָֽאֶזְרָ֑ח וְלַגֵּ֖ר הַגָּ֥ר בְּתוֹכְכֶֽם׃
