The life of Jesus

Jesus Rebukes Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum

Jesus pronounces woe upon the cities where he performed most of his mighty works because they did not repent, comparing them to the Gentile cities Tyre, Sidon, and Sodom, which would have repented.

Matthew 11,20-24

20Then he began to reproach the towns where most of his miracles had been done, because they did not repent:
21"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done among you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
23And you, Capernaum—will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.
24But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."
