Eliezer was brought to Moses by his father-in-law Jethro, along with his mother Zipporah and brother Gershom, at the mountain of God after the exodus from Egypt.
2 So Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after Moses had sent her home, hepr וַיִּקַּ֗ח יִתְרוֹ֙ חֹתֵ֣ן מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶת־צִפֹּרָ֖ה אֵ֣שֶׁת מֹשֶׁ֑ה אַחַ֖ר שִׁלּוּחֶֽיהָ׃
3 along with her two sons. One was named Gershom, for Moses had said, "I have been a stranger in a foreign land," hepr וְאֵ֖ת שְׁנֵ֣י בָנֶ֑יהָ אֲשֶׁ֨ר שֵׁ֤ם הָֽאֶחָד֙ גֵּֽרְשֹׁ֔ם כִּ֣י אָמַ֔ר גֵּ֣ר הָיִ֔יתִי בְּאֶ֖רֶץ נָכְרִיָּֽה׃
4 and the other Eliezer, for he said, "The God of my father was my help; he rescued me from Pharaoh's sword." hepr וְשֵׁ֥ם הָאֶחָ֖ד אֱלִיעֶ֑זֶר כִּֽי־אֱלֹהֵ֤י אָבִי֙ בְּעֶזְרִ֔י וַיַּצִּלֵ֖נִי מֵחֶ֥רֶב פַּרְעֹֽה׃
5 Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, came with Moses' sons and his wife to Moses in the wilderness, where he was camped at the mountain of God. hepr וַיָּבֹ֞א יִתְר֨וֹ חֹתֵ֥ן מֹשֶׁ֛ה וּבָנָ֥יו וְאִשְׁתּ֖וֹ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּ֗ר אֲשֶׁר־ה֛וּא חֹנֶ֥ה שָׁ֖ם הַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
6 He sent word to Moses: "I, your father-in-law Jethro, am coming to you, and your wife with her two sons." hepr וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֲנִ֛י חֹתֶנְךָ֥ יִתְר֖וֹ בָּ֣א אֵלֶ֑יךָ וְאִ֨שְׁתְּךָ֔ וּשְׁנֵ֥י בָנֶ֖יהָ עִמָּֽהּ׃
Eliezer's son Rehabiah had many sons, and his descendant Shelomith was appointed to guard the holy gifts that King David and the leaders had dedicated to the Lord.
25 His relatives through Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son. hepr וְאֶחָ֖יו לֶֽאֱלִיעֶ֑זֶר רְחַבְיָ֨הוּ בְנ֜וֹ וִֽישַׁעְיָ֤הוּ בְנוֹ֙ וְיֹרָ֣ם בְּנ֔וֹ וְזִכְרִ֥י בְנ֖וֹ *ושלמות **וּשְׁלֹמִ֥ית בְּנֽוֹ׃
26 This Shelomoth and his brothers were in charge of all the treasuries of the holy gifts dedicated by King David, by the heads of the families, by the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and by the commanders of the army. hepr ה֧וּא שְׁלֹמ֣וֹת וְאֶחָ֗יו עַ֣ל כָּל־אֹצְר֤וֹת הַקֳּדָשִׁים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִקְדִּ֜ישׁ דָּוִ֣יד הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וְרָאשֵׁ֧י הָאָב֛וֹת לְשָׂרֵֽי־הָאֲלָפִ֥ים וְהַמֵּא֖וֹת וְשָׂרֵ֥י הַצָּבָֽא׃
Eliezer's lineage is recorded in Chronicles, where it is noted that he had only one son, Rehabiah, but that Rehabiah's sons were very numerous.
15 The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer. hepr בְּנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֔ה גֵּרְשֹׁ֖ם וֶאֱלִיעֶֽזֶר׃
16 The sons of Gershom: Shebuel was the chief. hepr בְּנֵ֥י גֵרְשׁ֖וֹם שְׁבוּאֵ֥ל הָרֹֽאשׁ׃
17 The sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah was the chief. Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many. hepr וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־אֱלִיעֶ֖זֶר רְחַבְיָ֣ה הָרֹ֑אשׁ וְלֹא־הָיָ֤ה לֶאֱלִיעֶ֙זֶר֙ בָּנִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וּבְנֵ֥י רְחַבְיָ֖ה רָב֥וּ לְמָֽעְלָה׃
