Dodanim was a son of Javan and a grandson of Japheth, who in turn was a son of Noah. He is mentioned in Genesis and 1 Chronicles as part of the genealogy after the flood. Dodanim is traditionally regarded as the ancestor of the peoples who settled on the islands and coastal areas of the Mediterranean, possibly linked to Rhodes or the Dardanians.
