Joshua's Inheritance
When the distribution of the land was finished, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them. At the Lord's command, he received the city he asked for: Timnath-Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. There he rebuilt the city and settled in it. Thus Eleazar the priest, Joshua, and the heads of families completed the distribution of the land by casting lots at Shiloh before the Lord.
Joshua 19,49-51
49When they had finished apportioning the land according to its boundaries, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them.
וַיְכַלּ֥וּ לִנְחֹל־אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ לִגְבֽוּלֹתֶ֑יהָ וַיִּתְּנ֨וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל נַחֲלָ֛ה לִיהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ בִּן־נ֖וּן בְּתוֹכָֽם׃
50At the LORD's command they gave him the town he had asked for—Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the town and settled there.
עַל־פִּ֨י יְהוָ֜ה נָ֣תְנוּ ל֗וֹ אֶת־הָעִיר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁאָ֔ל אֶת־תִּמְנַת־סֶ֖רַח בְּהַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם וַיִּבְנֶ֥ה אֶת־הָעִ֖יר וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב בָּֽהּ׃
51These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the tribes of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh, before the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting. And so they finished dividing the land.
אֵ֣לֶּה הַנְּחָלֹ֡ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִחֲל֣וּ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֣ן ׀ וִיהוֹשֻׁ֪עַ בִּן־נ֟וּן וְרָאשֵׁ֣י הָֽאָב֣וֹת לְמַטּוֹת֩ בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל ׀ בְּגוֹרָ֤ל ׀ בְּשִׁלֹה֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיְכַלּ֕וּ מֵֽחַלֵּ֖ק אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ פ
