The number 1005 appears in 1 Kings 5:12, where it is stated that Solomon's songs were "a thousand and five." This number is part of a broader description of Solomon's overwhelming wisdom and serves as a concrete measure of his creative richness. Although 1005 does not have an independent symbolic value in traditional biblical numerology, it testifies to the unique position Solomon held as the wise king in Israel's history. The number emphasizes that his gift was not only intellectual but also artistic and poetic. In the same verse (1 Kings 5:12), it is mentioned that Solomon also uttered 3000 proverbs. Together, these numbers paint a picture of an unsurpassed wisdom tradition associated with Solomon's name. In the Septuagint and some English Bible translations, this verse is numbered as 1 Kings 4:32, due to differences in chapter division between the Hebrew Bible (Masoretic Text) and the Greek translation.
