It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among the pagans: a man is living with his father's wife.
And you are arrogant! Should you not rather have mourned, so that the man who did this would be removed from among you?
For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit, and I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, as though I were present.
When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus, and my spirit is with you, along with the power of our Lord Jesus,
hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough?
Clean out the old yeast, so that you may be a new batch, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
So let us keep the feast, not with the old yeast, nor with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with the sexually immoral—
not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave the world.
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother and is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a reviler, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a person do not even eat.
For what business is it of mine to judge those outside? Are you not the ones to judge those inside?
God will judge those outside. "Remove the wicked man from among you."
