Abraham received his son Isaac when he was 100 years old, highlighting God's faithfulness and ability to fulfill His promises even when it seems humanly impossible (Gen 21:5). In Jesus' parable of the sower, good soil yields a hundredfold harvest, symbolizing maximum fruitfulness and blessing (Matt 13:8; Mark 4:8). The number one hundred thus represents complete abundance—both in God's fulfillment of His promises and in the spiritual fruit that grows in those who receive His word. In Jewish tradition, it is customary to pray 100 blessings (berachot) each day, expressing total devotion and thankfulness to God. This tradition is attributed to King David in the Talmud (Menachot 43b). Symbolically, 100 can be understood as 10 × 10—an intensification of the number 10, which itself represents completeness and divine order. The hundred thus becomes the perfection of perfection.*
