Arodi
Son of Gad and ancestor of the Arodites

Arodi was one of the seven sons of Gad, who was the son of Jacob and Zilpah. He is mentioned among those who went down to Egypt with Jacob's family during the famine in Canaan. Arodi became the ancestor of the clan of the Arodites among Gad's descendants. In Numbers, he is referred to by the shorter name form Arod, where his clan is counted among Gad's families in the census on the plains of Moab.
