The most prominent is Asmaveth of Bahurim, who was one of David's thirty mighty men – an elite force known for their individual feats in battle. In addition, Jeiel and Pelet, sons of an Asmaveth, are mentioned among the warriors who joined David at Ziklag during his time as a fugitive from King Saul. Whether the hero from Bahurim, the treasurer, and the father of Jeiel and Pelet is the same person cannot be determined from the biblical texts alone.
