The Apostles After Judas' Fall
The Eleven were the apostles who remained after Judas Iscariot had betrayed Jesus and fallen away. It was to them that the risen Jesus appeared, and they received the mission command before a new apostle was chosen in Judas' place.

9And returning from the tomb, they reported all this to the Eleven and to all the rest.
καὶ ὑποστρέψασαι ἀπὸ τοῦ μνημείου ἀπήγγειλαν ταῦτα πάντα τοῖς ἕνδεκα καὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς λοιποῖς.
33They got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the Eleven and those with them gathered together,
καὶ ἀναστάντες αὐτῇ τῇ ὥρᾳ ὑπέστρεψαν εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ, καὶ εὗρον ⸀ἠθροισμένους τοὺς ἕνδεκα καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς,
