Home People Helkai Helkai was a priest who led the priestly line of Merajot in Jerusalem during the time when Joiakim served as high priest. He is mentioned in the book of Nehemiah among the heads of the priestly families who served after returning from the Babylonian exile. 26 These served in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and of Ezra the priest and scribe. Heb אֵ֕לֶּה בִּימֵ֛י יוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־יֵשׁ֖וּעַ בֶּן־יוֹצָדָ֑ק וּבִימֵי֙ נְחֶמְיָ֣ה הַפֶּחָ֔ה וְעֶזְרָ֥א הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַסּוֹפֵֽר׃ פ
