Zurishaddai is known from the books of Moses as the father of Shelumiel, who was the leader of the tribe of Simeon during the wilderness wanderings. He is mentioned in connection with the census and the organization of Israel's camp at Sinai. Although little is known about his personal life, his family played an important role in the tribal divisions of Israel.
