Nahors slekt og Rebekkas fødsel
Etter dette får Abraham bud om at Milka har født åtte sønner til hans bror Nahor: Us, Bus, Kemuel (far til Aram), Kesed, Haso, Pildasj, Jidlaf og Betuel – som ble far til Rebekka. I tillegg fødte medhustruen Reuma fire sønner: Tebah, Gaham, Tahasj og Ma'aka. Slektsregisteret peker fremover mot Rebekka, som senere blir Isaks hustru.
1. Mosebok 22,20-24
20Etter dette hende det at Abraham fekk melding: «Sjå, Milka har òg fødd søner til Nahor, bror din:
וַיְהִ֗י אַחֲרֵי֙ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַיֻּגַּ֥ד לְאַבְרָהָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר הִ֠נֵּה יָלְדָ֨ה מִלְכָּ֥ה גַם־הִ֛וא בָּנִ֖ים לְנָח֥וֹר אָחִֽיךָ׃
21Us, den førstefødde, Bus, bror hans, Kemuel, far til Aram,
אֶת־ע֥וּץ בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־בּ֣וּז אָחִ֑יו וְאֶת־קְמוּאֵ֖ל אֲבִ֥י אֲרָֽם׃
22Kesed, Hazo, Pildasj, Jidlaf og Betuel.
וְאֶת־כֶּ֣שֶׂד וְאֶת־חֲז֔וֹ וְאֶת־פִּלְדָּ֖שׁ וְאֶת־יִדְלָ֑ף וְאֵ֖ת בְּתוּאֵֽל׃
23Betuel vart far til Rebekka. Desse åtte fødde Milka til Nahor, bror til Abraham.»
וּבְתוּאֵ֖ל יָלַ֣ד אֶת־רִבְקָ֑ה שְׁמֹנָ֥ה אֵ֙לֶּה֙ יָלְדָ֣ה מִלְכָּ֔ה לְנָח֖וֹר אֲחִ֥י אַבְרָהָֽם׃
24Medkona hans, som heitte Reuma, fødde òg born: Tebah, Gaham, Tahasj og Maaka.
וּפִֽילַגְשׁ֖וֹ וּשְׁמָ֣הּ רְאוּמָ֑ה וַתֵּ֤לֶד גַּם־הִוא֙ אֶת־טֶ֣בַח וְאֶת־גַּ֔חַם וְאֶת־תַּ֖חַשׁ וְאֶֽת־מַעֲכָֽה׃ ס
