Home People Jeezer Jeezer (also known as Jezer or Abiezer in some translations) was a son of Gilead, grandson of Machir, and great-grandson of Manasseh. He was the patriarch of the Jeezerite clan, one of the important families in the tribe of Manasseh who received land in the Promised Land.

Iezer and his clan received an inheritance as part of the tribe of Manasseh when the land was distributed among the tribes of Israel.
2 The rest of the descendants of Manasseh received land by their clans: the sons of Abiezer, the sons of Helek, the sons of Asriel, the sons of Shechem, the sons of Hepher, and the sons of Shemida. These were the male descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph, by their clans. Heb וַ֠יְהִי לִבְנֵ֨י מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה הַנּוֹתָרִים֮ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם֒ לִבְנֵ֨י אֲבִיעֶ֜זֶר וְלִבְנֵי־חֵ֗לֶק וְלִבְנֵ֤י אַשְׂרִיאֵל֙ וְלִבְנֵי־שֶׁ֔כֶם וְלִבְנֵי־חֵ֖פֶר וְלִבְנֵ֣י שְׁמִידָ֑ע אֵ֠לֶּה בְּנֵ֨י מְנַשֶּׁ֧ה בֶֿן־יוֹסֵ֛ף הַזְּכָרִ֖ים לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃
Iezer is recorded in the tribal genealogy of Manasseh as one of the important clan leaders in 1 Chronicles.
18 His sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah. Heb וַאֲחֹת֖וֹ הַמֹּלֶ֑כֶת יָלְדָה֙ אֶת־אִישְׁה֔וֹד וְאֶת־אֲבִיעֶ֖זֶר וְאֶת־מַחְלָֽה׃
During the census conducted by Moses and Eleazar on the plains of Moab, the Iezrites were counted as a distinct clan within the tribe of Manasseh.
29 The sons of Manasseh: from Machir, the Machirite clan; and Machir was the father of Gilead; from Gilead, the Gileadite clan. Heb בְּנֵ֣י מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה לְמָכִיר֙ מִשְׁפַּ֣חַת הַמָּכִירִ֔י וּמָכִ֖יר הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־גִּלְעָ֑ד לְגִלְעָ֕ד מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַגִּלְעָדִֽי׃
30 These were the sons of Gilead: from Iezer, the Iezerite clan; from Helek, the Helekite clan; Heb אֵ֚לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י גִלְעָ֔ד אִיעֶ֕זֶר מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הָאִֽיעֶזְרִ֑י לְחֵ֕לֶק מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַֽחֶלְקִֽי׃
31 from Asriel, the Asrielite clan; from Shechem, the Shechemite clan; Heb וְאַ֨שְׂרִיאֵ֔ל מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הָֽאַשְׂרִֽאֵלִ֑י וְשֶׁ֕כֶם מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַשִּׁכְמִֽי׃
32 from Shemida, the Shemidaite clan; from Hepher, the Hepherite clan. Heb וּשְׁמִידָ֕ע מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַשְּׁמִידָעִ֑י וְחֵ֕פֶר מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַֽחֶפְרִֽי׃
34 These were the clans of Manasseh, and their number was 52,700. Heb אֵ֖לֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹ֣ת מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה וּפְקֻ֣דֵיהֶ֔ם שְׁנַ֧יִם וַחֲמִשִּׁ֛ים אֶ֖לֶף וּשְׁבַ֥ע מֵאֽוֹת׃ ס
