He made a bronze altar twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and ten cubits high.
He made the cast metal Sea, ten cubits from rim to rim, perfectly round, five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference.
Beneath it, figures of oxen encircled it all the way around, ten to a cubit, surrounding the Sea on every side. The oxen were in two rows, cast as one piece with the Sea.
It stood on twelve oxen: three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The Sea rested on top of them, and all their hindquarters were turned inward.
It was a handbreadth thick, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It held three thousand baths.
He made ten basins, setting five on the right and five on the left, for washing. In them they rinsed what was used for the burnt offering, but the Sea was for the priests to wash in.
He made ten gold lampstands according to the specifications for them, and set them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left.
He made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left. He also made a hundred gold bowls.
He made the court of the priests and the great courtyard with its doors, and he overlaid the doors with bronze.
He set the Sea on the south side, at the southeast corner.
Huram also made the pots, the shovels, and the bowls. So Huram finished the work he had undertaken for King Solomon in the house of God:
the two pillars; the two bowl-shaped capitals on top of the pillars; the two networks to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals on top of the pillars;
the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, covering the two bowl-shaped capitals on the front of the pillars;
the stands, and the basins on the stands;
the one Sea, and the twelve oxen beneath it;
and the pots, the shovels, the forks, and all their utensils. Huram-abi made all these things of polished bronze for King Solomon, for the house of the LORD.
The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.
Solomon made all these articles in such great quantity that the weight of the bronze could not be determined.
Solomon also made all the furnishings for the house of God: the golden altar; the tables on which the bread of the Presence was set;
the lampstands of pure gold with their lamps, to burn as prescribed in front of the inner sanctuary;
the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, all of purest gold;
the wick trimmers, the bowls, the dishes, and the censers, of pure gold; and the doorway of the temple—its inner doors to the Most Holy Place and the doors of the main hall—overlaid with gold.
