Show the types of offeringsOverview of the sacrifices in Leviticus 1-7
The first seven chapters of Leviticus describe five main types of offerings. Each type had its own purpose and pointed forward to Christ's perfect sacrifice.
1
Burnt Offering (chap. 1)
A whole animal was burned on the altar - an ox, sheep, goat, or bird. It symbolized complete surrender to God. The animal had to be without defect.

Grain Offering (chap. 2)
Unleavened bread, grain, or cakes baked with oil and frankincense. It symbolized gratitude and the fruits of life given to God.

Peace Offering (chap. 3)
A voluntary offering for fellowship with God. Parts were burned, parts given to the priest, and the rest eaten by the one who offered it.

Sin Offering (chap. 4)
For unintentional sins. The blood was sprinkled in the sanctuary to make atonement for sin. Different animals were used depending on the person's status.
v.5
Guilt Offering (chap. 5-6)
For sins against holy things or against a neighbor. It required both an offering AND restitution - the stolen amount plus 20% extra.
