Hotham is a biblical figure mentioned in the Books of Chronicles. There are two individuals with this name: one who was the son of Heber from the tribe of Asher, and another known as the Aroerite, father of Shama and Jehiel, who were among David's mighty warriors. He is best known as the father of two of David's brave men.
40All these were the descendants of Asher, heads of their fathers' houses, chosen men, mighty warriors, and chief among the leaders. The number enrolled for service in war was twenty-six thousand men.
10These are the chiefs of David's mighty men, who together with all Israel gave his kingship strong support to make him king, as the LORD had promised concerning Israel.
11This is the list of David's mighty men: Jashobeam son of Hachmoni, chief of the officers. He wielded his spear against three hundred men, killing them in a single encounter.
