The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
When a land rebels, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, order endures.
A poor man who oppresses the weak is like a driving rain that leaves no food behind.
Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them.
Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand all things.
Better a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man whose ways are crooked.
He who keeps the law is a son with understanding, but a companion of gluttons shames his father.
Whoever builds his wealth by interest and exorbitant gain gathers it for one who is kind to the poor.
If anyone turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable.
Whoever leads the upright astray into an evil way will fall into his own pit, but the blameless will inherit good.
A rich man is wise in his own eyes, but a poor man with discernment sees through him.
When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, people go into hiding.
Whoever conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.
Blessed is the one who always stands in awe, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into disaster.
Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a helpless people.
A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but whoever hates unjust gain will live long.
A man burdened with the blood of another will flee to the pit; let no one support him.
Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but the one whose ways are crooked will suddenly fall.
Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but whoever chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hurries to get rich will not go unpunished.
Showing partiality is not good, yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.
A greedy man is in a rush for wealth and does not know that poverty is coming upon him.
Whoever rebukes a man will in the end find more favor than the one with a flattering tongue.
Whoever robs his father or mother and says, "It is no offense," is the partner of a destroyer.
A man of grasping appetite stirs up strife, but whoever trusts in the LORD will be enriched.
Whoever trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks in wisdom will be kept safe.
Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but whoever looks the other way will get many curses.
When the wicked rise, people hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous flourish.
