Then I looked, and there was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him a hundred forty-four thousand who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.
And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the rumble of loud thunder; the sound I heard was like harpists playing on their harps.
And they were singing what seemed to be a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one could learn that song except the hundred forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth.
These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were redeemed from among humanity as firstfruits for God and the Lamb,
and no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless.
Then I saw another angel flying high overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation and tribe and tongue and people.
He said in a loud voice: "Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water."
Then another angel, a second, followed, saying: "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, who made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her immorality."
And a third angel followed them, saying in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on his forehead or on his hand,
he too will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured undiluted into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur before the holy angels and before the Lamb.
And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night—those who worship the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name."
Here is the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who from now on die in the Lord." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labors, for their works follow them."
Then I looked, and there was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.
And another angel came out of the temple, calling in a loud voice to the one seated on the cloud: "Swing your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come; the harvest of the earth is ripe."
So the one seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.
And another angel came from the altar, the one who has authority over fire, and he called out in a loud voice to the angel with the sharp sickle: "Swing your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe."
So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the vintage of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of God's wrath.
The winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress as high as the horses' bridles for sixteen hundred stadia.
