A wise son heeds his father's discipline, but a mocker will not listen to rebuke.

From the fruit of his mouth a man eats what is good, but the appetite of the treacherous is for violence.

Whoever guards his mouth protects his life, but the one who opens his lips wide comes to ruin.

The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are richly satisfied.
