This is what you shall do to consecrate them as priests to serve me: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,
along with unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers brushed with oil; make them of fine wheat flour.
Place them in a single basket and bring them in the basket, together with the bull and the two rams.
Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.
Take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself, and the breastpiece; then fasten the ephod on him with its woven band.
Set the turban on his head and place the holy crown on the turban.
Then take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.
Gird Aaron and his sons with sashes and bind the headbands on them. The priesthood shall be theirs by a perpetual statute. So you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.
Bring the bull before the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
Slaughter the bull before the LORD at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
Take some of the bull's blood and put it with your finger on the horns of the altar, and pour out all the blood at the base of the altar.
Take all the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, and burn them on the altar.
But the flesh of the bull, its hide, and its dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.
Then take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
Slaughter the ram, take its blood, and splash it against the altar on every side.
Cut the ram into pieces, wash its entrails and legs, and place them with the pieces and the head.
Then burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
Then take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
Slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear and on the lobes of his sons' right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet; then splash the blood against the altar on every side.
Take some of the blood from the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. So he and his garments, and his sons and their garments, shall be consecrated.
From the ram take the fat, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh, for this is the ram of ordination.
Also take one loaf of bread, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD.
Put all of it in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD.
Then take it from their hands and burn it on the altar with the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the LORD; it is a food offering to the LORD.
Take the breast of Aaron's ram of ordination and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD; it shall be your portion.
You shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution—what was waved and what was lifted up—from the ram of ordination, from what belongs to Aaron and to his sons.
This shall belong to Aaron and his sons as a perpetual due from the Israelites, for it is a contribution. It is the contribution the Israelites are to give from their fellowship sacrifices, their offering to the LORD.
The holy garments of Aaron shall pass to his sons after him; in them they shall be anointed and ordained.
The son who succeeds him as priest and enters the tent of meeting to minister in the sanctuary shall wear them seven days.
Take the ram of ordination and boil its meat in a holy place.
At the entrance of the tent of meeting Aaron and his sons shall eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket.
They shall eat the things by which atonement was made, to ordain and consecrate them; but no outsider may eat them, for they are holy.
If any of the meat of the ordination offering or any of the bread is left over until morning, burn it with fire. It must not be eaten, for it is holy.
Do this for Aaron and his sons, just as I have commanded you. Take seven days to ordain them.
Each day offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.
For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar shall be most holy, and whatever touches it shall become holy.
This is what you are to offer on the altar continually, day by day: two lambs a year old.
Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight.
With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of pressed oil, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
Offer the second lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning—a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
This shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations, at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you and speak to you.
There I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory.
So I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar, and I will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.
I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.
They will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.
