Default version He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a lampstand, all of gold, with a bowl at the top of it. It has seven lamps on it, and seven spouts for each of the lamps at its top.
He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a lampstand, all of gold, with a bowl at the top of it. It has seven lamps on it, and seven channels to each of the lamps at its top. The Hebrew 'seven and seven pipes' most likely describes seven small spouts or lips serving each lamp. 'Spouts' is a bit more concrete than 'channels' for an oral hearer, and 'for each' reads more smoothly than 'to each'. Purely a clarity refinement; the sense is already correct.
3 And beside it are two olive trees, one on the right of the bowl and one on its left." Original text References Topics Notes Manuscripts
