PsaltarenKapitel 141

A psalm of David. LORD, I call to you; hurry to me. Listen to my voice when I call to you.
Let my prayer rise before you like incense, the lifting of my hands like the evening sacrifice.
Set a guard, LORD, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.
Do not let my heart turn to any evil thing, to take part in wicked deeds with those who do wrong; let me not taste their delicacies.
Let the righteous strike me—it is a kindness; let him rebuke me—it is oil on my head; let my head never refuse it. But my prayer is still against the deeds of the wicked.
When their judges are thrown down from the cliffs, then they will hear my words, for they are pleasant.
Like ground broken and split open by the plow, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
But my eyes are on you, LORD God; in you I take refuge—do not leave me defenseless.
Keep me from the snares they have set for me, from the traps of those who do wrong.
Let the wicked fall into their own nets, all of them together, while I pass by in safety.
