NehemiahChapter 10

In view of all this, we are entering into a binding agreement, put in writing; and on the sealed document are the names of our officials, our Levites, and our priests.
On the sealed document were: Nehemiah the governor, son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah,
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,
Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,
Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,
Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,
Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,
Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,
Maaziah, Bilgai, and Shemaiah. These were the priests.
The Levites: Jeshua son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel,
and their fellow Levites: Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah,
Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,
Hodiah, Bani, and Beninu.
The heads of the people: Parosh, Pahath-Moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani,
Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,
Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,
Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur,
Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai,
Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai,
Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,
Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua,
Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,
Hoshea, Hananiah, Hasshub,
Hallohesh, Pilha, Shobek,
Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,
Ahijah, Hanan, Anan,
Malluch, Harim, and Baanah.
The rest of the people—the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands in order to follow the Law of God, together with their wives, their sons, and their daughters, all who had the knowledge to understand—
joined with their brothers, the nobles, and bound themselves with a curse and an oath to walk in the Law of God, given through Moses the servant of God, and to keep and carry out all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, with his judgments and his statutes:
We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons.
When the peoples of the land bring their wares or any grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day. Every seventh year we will let the land rest and cancel every debt.
We take upon ourselves the obligation to give a third of a shekel each year for the service of the house of our God:
for the rows of bread set out in the sanctuary, for the daily grain offering and the daily burnt offering, for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the appointed feasts, for the holy offerings and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
We—the priests, the Levites, and the people—have also cast lots for the wood offering, to bring it to the house of our God, family by family, at the appointed times year by year, to be burned on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the Law.
We will also bring to the house of the LORD, year by year, the firstfruits of our soil and the firstfruits of the fruit of every tree,
and the firstborn of our sons and of our livestock, as it is written in the Law, bringing the firstborn of our herds and flocks to the house of our God, to the priests who minister there.
We will bring the first of our ground meal, our contributions, the fruit of every tree, and the new wine and oil to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God, and the tithe of our soil to the Levites, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work.
A priest, a descendant of Aaron, is to accompany the Levites when they receive the tithes, and the Levites are to bring up a tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the storerooms of the treasury.
For the people of Israel and the Levites are to bring their contributions of grain, new wine, and oil to those storerooms, where the vessels of the sanctuary are kept and where the ministering priests, the gatekeepers, and the singers are. We will not neglect the house of our God.
