EzekielChapter 11

Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the LORD's house, the one that faces east. And there at the entrance of the gate were twenty-five men, and among them I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
And he said to me, "Son of man, these are the men who devise evil and give wicked counsel in this city.
They say, 'The time is not near for building houses. This city is the pot, and we are the meat.'
Therefore prophesy against them; prophesy, son of man!"
Then the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and he said to me: "Say, 'Thus says the LORD: So you have said, house of Israel — and I know the thoughts that rise in your spirit.
You have multiplied your slain in this city and filled its streets with the dead.
Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: Your slain, whom you have laid in the midst of the city — they are the meat, and the city is the pot; but you I will drive out of it.
You fear the sword, and the sword is what I will bring upon you, declares the Lord GOD.
I will drive you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners, and I will execute judgments on you.
You will fall by the sword. At the border of Israel I will judge you, and you will know that I am the LORD.
This city will not be a pot for you, nor will you be the meat inside it. At the border of Israel I will judge you,
and you will know that I am the LORD — you who have not walked in my statutes or kept my ordinances, but have acted according to the customs of the nations around you.'"
Now while I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell facedown and cried out with a loud voice, "Ah, Lord GOD! Will you bring the remnant of Israel to a complete end?"
Then the word of the LORD came to me:
"Son of man, your brothers — your brothers, your own kin, and the whole house of Israel, all of them — are the ones to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, 'Keep far away from the LORD! It is to us that this land has been given as a possession.'
Therefore say: 'Thus says the Lord GOD: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet I myself have been a sanctuary for them in some measure, in the countries where they have gone.'
Therefore say: 'Thus says the Lord GOD: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
They will come there and remove from it all its detestable idols and all its abominations.
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
so that they will walk in my statutes and keep my ordinances and do them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
But as for those whose hearts are set on their detestable idols and abominations, I will bring their conduct down on their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.'"
Then the cherubim lifted their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
And the glory of the LORD rose up from the midst of the city and came to rest on the mountain east of the city.
Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in the vision, by the Spirit of God, to the exiles in Chaldea. And the vision I had seen went up from me.
And I told the exiles all the words of the LORD that he had shown me.
