EzekielChapter 7

The word of the LORD came to me:
"Son of man, this is what the Lord GOD says to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.
Now the end is upon you. I will unleash my anger against you, judge you according to your ways, and bring all your abominations down on your head.
My eye will not spare you, and I will show no pity. I will repay you for your ways, and your abominations will remain in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD."
This is what the Lord GOD says: "Disaster! A disaster like no other—look, it is coming!
An end has come; the end has come. It has awakened against you. Look, it is coming!
Doom has come upon you, you who live in the land. The time has come, the day is near—panic, not shouts of joy on the mountains.
Soon now I will pour out my wrath on you and spend my anger against you. I will judge you according to your ways and bring all your abominations down on your head.
My eye will not spare, and I will show no pity. I will repay you according to your ways, and your abominations will remain in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD who strikes.
"Look, the day! Look, it comes! Doom has gone out. The rod has budded; arrogance has blossomed.
Violence has grown into a rod of wickedness. None of them will be left, none of their multitude, none of their wealth, nothing of value among them.
The time has come, the day has arrived. Let the buyer not rejoice and the seller not mourn, for wrath is on the whole multitude.
For the seller will not return to what he sold, as long as they remain among the living; the vision concerning the whole multitude will not be revoked, and no one will preserve his life by his iniquity.
They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but no one goes out to battle, for my wrath is on the whole multitude.
The sword is outside; plague and famine are within. Whoever is in the field will die by the sword, and whoever is in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.
Those who escape will flee to the mountains; like doves of the valleys they will all moan, each over his own iniquity.
Every hand will go limp, and every knee will turn to water.
They will put on sackcloth, and terror will cover them. Shame will be on every face, and every head will be shaved.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be treated as filth. Their silver and gold cannot save them on the day of the LORD's fury. It cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs, for it became the stumbling block of their iniquity.
They took pride in their beautiful ornaments and used them to make their detestable images, their vile idols. Therefore I will turn it all into filth for them.
I will hand it over as plunder to foreigners and as loot to the wicked of the earth, and they will defile it.
I will turn my face away from them, and they will defile my treasured place. Violent men will enter it and defile it.
Forge the chain! For the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of violence.
I will bring in the most ruthless of nations, and they will take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated.
Anguish is coming! They will look for peace, but there will be none.
Disaster upon disaster will come, and rumor after rumor. They will seek a vision from the prophet; instruction will vanish from the priest and counsel from the elders.
The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed in despair, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. I will deal with them according to their conduct, and by their own standards I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the LORD."
