Standardausgabe Look, I am sending my messenger, and he will clear the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord whom you are seeking will come to his temple, and the messenger of the covenant whom you desire—look, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.
Look, I am sending my messenger, and he will clear the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord whom you are seeking will come to his temple—the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight. Look, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts. The Hebrew joins "the messenger of the covenant" with a conjunction (וּמַלְאַךְ) rather than as an appositional restatement; keeping the connective preserves the sentence structure and the emphatic "look, he is coming!" that follows directly.
2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire, like a launderer's soap. Urtext Verweise Themen Notizen Manuskripte
