IsaiahChapter 45

This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that no gate stays shut:
I will go before you and level the mountains; I will shatter doors of bronze and cut through bars of iron.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and riches hidden away, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by name.
For the sake of my servant Jacob, of Israel my chosen, I have called you by name; I have given you a title of honor, though you do not know me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I arm you for battle, though you do not know me,
so that from the rising of the sun to its setting people may know there is none but me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I form the light and create the darkness; I make peace and create disaster. I, the LORD, do all these things.
Rain down, you heavens above; let the clouds pour out righteousness. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, and let righteousness blossom with it. I, the LORD, have created it.
Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker, a mere shard among the shards of the earth! Does the clay say to the potter, "What are you making?" or, "Your work has no hands"?
Woe to the one who says to a father, "What are you fathering?" or to a woman, "What are you laboring to bear?"
This is what the LORD says, the Holy One of Israel, the one who formed him: Ask me about the things to come! Concerning my children and the work of my hands, would you give me orders?
I made the earth, and I created humankind upon it. It was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I command all their host.
I have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, without payment and without bribe, says the LORD of hosts.
This is what the LORD says: The wealth of Egypt, the merchandise of Cush, and the tall Sabeans will come over to you and be yours. They will walk behind you; they will come over in chains. They will bow down to you and plead with you: "Surely God is with you, and there is no other; there is no other God."
Truly you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.
They will all be ashamed and disgraced; the makers of idols will go off together in humiliation.
But Israel is saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will never be ashamed or disgraced, to all eternity.
For this is what the LORD says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he formed the earth and made it, he established it. He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness. I have not said to Jacob's descendants, "Seek me in vain." I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.
Gather together and come; draw near, you survivors of the nations. They know nothing, those who carry about idols of wood and pray to a god that cannot save.
Speak up and present your case; take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from of old? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.
Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other.
By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that will not return: Before me every knee will bow, and every tongue will swear allegiance.
"In the LORD alone," it will be said of me, "are righteousness and strength." All who rage against him will come to him and be put to shame.
In the LORD all the descendants of Israel will be justified, and in him they will glory.
