For the choirmaster. A psalm of David. A song.

Praise awaits you in silence, O God, in Zion; to you the vow shall be fulfilled.

You who hear prayer, to you all flesh shall come.

Deeds of iniquity overwhelm me; our transgressions—you yourself atone for them.

Blessed is the one you choose and bring near to dwell in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple.

With awesome deeds of righteousness you answer us, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.

You set the mountains in place by your strength, girded with might.

You still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.

Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your signs; you make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have prepared it.

You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its growth.

You crown the year with your bounty, and your paths overflow with abundance.

The pastures of the wilderness overflow; the hills are robed with joy.

The meadows are clothed with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy, they break into song.
