For the choirmaster. A song. A psalm. Shout to God with joy, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
Say to God, "How awesome are your works! Because your power is so great, your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you; they sing to you, they sing praise to your name." Selah
Come and see what God has done—how awesome his deeds toward the children of men.
He turned the sea into dry land; they crossed the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him.
He rules forever by his might; his eyes keep watch over the nations. Let the rebellious not exalt themselves. Selah
Bless our God, you peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard.
He has kept us among the living and has not let our feet stumble.
For you tested us, O God; you refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our loins.
You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water—but you brought us out to abundance.
I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will fulfill my vows to you,
the vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke in my distress.
I will offer you fattened animals as burnt offerings, with the smoke of rams; I will prepare bulls with goats. Selah
Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me.
I cried out to him with my mouth, and high praise was under my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But God has surely listened; he heard the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer or withheld his mercy from me.
