A song. A psalm of David.

My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.

Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise you among the peoples, O LORD; I will sing your praises among the nations.

For your steadfast love is great, higher than the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and let your glory be over all the earth.

So that those you love may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me.

God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is the helmet for my head, Judah my scepter.

Moab is my washbasin; on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph."

Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?

Have you not rejected us, O God? Will you not go out, O God, with our armies?

Give us help against the enemy, for the rescue that man offers is worthless.

With God we will do mighty deeds, and he will trample down our foes.
