LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger, do not discipline me in your wrath.

Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am weak; heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking.

My soul is shaken to the core. And you, LORD—how long?

Turn back, LORD, and deliver my soul; save me for the sake of your steadfast love.

For in death no one remembers you; who gives you thanks from Sheol?

I am worn out with my groaning. All night long I flood my bed; with my tears I drench my couch.

My eyes are wasted with grief; they have grown weak because of all my foes.

Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.

The LORD has heard my plea for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.

All my enemies will be put to shame and utterly dismayed; they will turn back, shamed in an instant.
