A psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; to you, LORD, I will make music.

I will give heed to the way of integrity — when will you come to me? I will walk with a blameless heart within my house.

I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of those who turn aside; they will not cling to me.

The crooked of heart shall depart from me; I will know nothing of evil.

Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him I will destroy. The one with haughty eyes and a proud heart I will not endure.

My eyes are on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. The one who walks in the way of integrity shall serve me.

No one who practices deceit shall live in my house; no one who speaks lies shall stand before my eyes.

Morning by morning I will silence all the wicked of the land, cutting off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
